Tools:
- Mixing bowl
- Rubber Spatula
- Large skillet
Ingredients:
- 2 8 oz containers of crab meat
- 1 egg
- 1 Tsp of dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup of mayo
- 1 Tsp lemon juice
- A few dashes of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 stalks of green onion sliced thin with greens & whites separated
- Old Bay seasoning
- Italian seasoning
- Garlic powder
- 1/4 +- cup of breadcrumbs
- 1/4 +- cup of Panko breadcrumbs
Directions:
- In a bowl whisk together egg, mustard, mayo, lemon juice, & Worcestershire sauce until combined.
- Add seasonings to mixture & the white part of your green onion, & carefully fold in the crab so that you don’t break the lump too much.
- Once everything is mixed, portion the mixture into the size you like. I made mine into approximately 4 oz balls & it made 7. roll into balls, flatten, & refrigerate for at least 10 min.
- In a skillet add 1/4 in or so of oil in the pan & heat. Once hot, add crab cakes being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook crab cakes for 3-5 min on both sides until golden brown.
- Garnish with the green onion tops & enjoy!
- Serve with fried rice & veggies or mashed potatoes!
